HYdrological cycle in Mediterranean EXperiment (HYMEX)
HyMEX (HYdrological cycle in the Mediterranean Experiment) is a major experimental
program aiming at a better quantification and understanding of the hydrological
cycle and related processes in the Mediterranean, with emphases put on high-impact
weather events and regional impacts of the global change including those on
ecosystems and the human activities (from
HYMEX White Book).
NASA is participating in the HYMEX Special Observation
Period (SOP) by providing a number of disdrometers, micro-rain radars, and rain gauges.
